Visions of Cody Jack Kerouac

Most of Visions of Cody, in my opinion, is quite un-readable. The prestigious Josef Jungmann Prize went to Josef Rauvolf for his translation of Visions of Cody by Jack Kerouac, masterfully rendering Kerouac's evocative language. How many people out there hold the secrets of the universe in their minds, but haven't exercised those theories or visions because they have made a life decision to be a good husband and/or a good father? He later used outtakes from On the Road, and supplementary material he wrote for it later, but which was excluded from the book by editors, as the basis for another novel called, Visions of Cody. To me, it's equivalent to the difference between his earlier journals and "Some of the Dharma". From his works we remind: On the Road, Doctor Sax, The Dharma Bums, Mexico City Blues, The Subterraneans, Desolation Angels, Visions of Cody, The Sea is My Brother, and Big Sur.
